OSWEGO, NY – Syracuse based graphics and signage company Budget 1 Hour Sign Systems has returned to partner with Proud Motorsports and the driver of the No. 54, Camden Proud, for 2018 Small Block Supermodified competition at Oswego Speedway.
A partner since coming onboard ahead of Proud’s rookie season in 2014, Budget Signs has provided not only the full graphics packages for both the white and flat black Step One Creative designed schemes, but consistent replacement graphics and name changes in prompt fashion due to driver swaps or accidents.
After two years of sporting a flat black scheme at Oswego Speedway as well as on the Lighthouse Lanes SBS Series tour this past season with father, Tim, at the wheel, the second runner-up in 2017 SBS standings will come to the track with a bit different of a look come Open Practice on May 19 as 19 year-old Proud will again be showing off a brand new design for the third time in five seasons thanks to the efforts of Step One Creative and Budget Signs.
“Adam and his team at Budget Signs have far surpassed our expectations in what has been a fantastic racing partnership over the course of the past five years,” Proud said. “They have done a tremendous job working with Mark (Proud) at Step One Creative to deliver exactly what we have been looking for as far as design goes and are ecstatic to unveil another brand new scheme for 2018.”
Following a heavy practice crash in May of this past season which destroyed the entire rear tail and nose sections of the body on the No. 54 car, Budget 1 Hour Sign Systems came through within a matter of days to provide Proud Motorsports with the necessary replacements.
“In less than a week following an accident which pretty much cost us our entire body early last season, Adam had replacement graphics set to go for us,” Proud said. “He also took care of frequent name changes to switch the car over for my dad Tim to compete on the Lighthouse Lanes SBS tour. Budget Signs and Proud Motorsports will start the 2018 season by first taking to the Evans Mills Speedway with Tim as the driver in Lighthouse Lanes SBS Series events tentatively set for early May.
Opening Day at Oswego Speedway and the start to Camden’s season is scheduled for May 26, which will see the lid lifter Jim Shampine and Tony White Memorial events for the Supermodified and SBS.
The speedway’s annual open practice session will commence a week earlier on May 19.
