Fulton Updates Calendar, Students Now In Session For ½ Day March 15

FULTON – Since weather has continued to wreak havoc with scheduled school days, the Fulton City School District has used all six of its emergency closing days for the 2018-19 school year.

Superintendent Brian Pulvino recently sent a letter home to all FCSD parents and guardians informing them of the necessity to make an adjustment to the school schedule to ensure FCSD achieves the legally required number of student attendance days.

After careful consideration of several options, the district has decided to schedule students to be in attendance for a half-day on March 15.

March 18 will continue to be an early release day, as outlined in the district’s 2018-19 school calendar.

Student-led conferences affected by the change will be rescheduled with classroom teachers.

Pulvino said the safety of the district’s students has been the primary consideration when making decisions to delay or close on days of disruptive weather. missing or outdated ad config
