FCSD Budget vote Suppressed?

This year’s vote on the FCSD budget and School board Elections, have a look at Voter Suppression!

First up on the list was the mailing of Absentee ballots, many voters received their absentee ballots with less than a day to fill them out and return them to the District office by Tuesday the 21st. Is this a miscue or vote suppression?

Second up was parking at the West-side polling location, Fulton war maemorial, parking wa liited doe to rides bing set up for the upcoming activities. Many people left without voting. Again, is this a miscue or voter suppression?

Third up and the most outrageous was the District polling locations. Up to almost a month ago literature sent from the District it showed and explained the polling locations and how to determine where your location to vote could be determined. It showed the Oswego River as the dividing point. East-side of the river, Fulton, Volney were to vote at the Fulton city Municipal building. West-side of the river, Fulton, Granby, Minetto, were to vote at the Futon War memorial. When voters arrived at the West-side polling place, many were told, “You can’t vote here” they were instructed  to go to the East-side polling location. The new and unadvertised dividing line was Rt. 176, not the Oswego River. This hindered a large portion of the true voting population. Final act of Voter Suppression or another miscue?

As many of you know if the act of voting is hindered in any way most voters will just leave and not vote on a School Budget!

This is what it appears the District was hoping for, and guess what it worked.

If only one if these issues were done, it might be a honest mistake! However, the combination of all three being true, it has the likelihood that VOTER SUPPRESSION  was being performed!

For these reasons and these reasons alone, I am imploring that the District conduct a Revote on the Budget and the Budget only.
