Pair Charged In Burglary At Oswego Laundromat

OSWEGO, NY – At approximately 2:36 a.m. today (April 2), Oswego police arrested a man and a woman after investigating a report of a burglary at Colonial Laundromat on East Bridge Street.

According to police reports, officers determined that a woman had allegedly entered a portion of the laundromat that was not accessible to the public.

And,  while inside, she allegedly  stole a wallet belonging to an employee.

Shortly after the report came in, officers were able to track down two suspects on East Fourth Street, near East Seneca Street.

There 18-year-old Robert R. Austin of Pulaski was taken into custody for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and 24-year-old Rheanna A. Hibbard, also of Pulaski, was taken into custody for third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Austin was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Oswego City Court on April 29.

Hibbard was arraigned in Oswego City Court before the Honorable James Metcalf and was subsequently remanded to Oswego County Jail on $250 cash bail or $500 bail bond.

She is scheduled to reappear in Oswego City Court on April 6.
