Antarctica Comes Alive At KPS

OSWEGO, NY – Former Oswego High School teacher David Shoemaker was back in the classroom recently.

He shared his experiences with Kingsford Park third graders.

Shoemaker lived in Antarctica for a year while he served in the military.

It was noted that third graders study the continents and that this was a wonderful opportunity to talk with someone who actually lived in Antarctica.

Teachers Patty Dixon, Jim Hartmann and Denise Fayette brought their classes together for this experience.
