Kingsford Park Elementary School Students Cited For Writing

MEXICO, NY – The 24th Oswego County Reading Council Writing Contest winners were announced recently at a special awards ceremony held at Oswego County BOCES.

This year’s theme for the writing contest was “Reach For the Stars.”

Nearly 500 writing pieces were submitted for the contest from all across Oswego County.

Students from the Oswego City School District who received awards were Claudia Chetney (middle), 6th grade first place, Victoria Crisafulli (right), 4th grade third place, and James Abbott (missing from photo), 4th grade 2nd place.

All three students attend Kingsford Park Elementary School.

Fourth grade teacher Chris Castiglia (left) attended the ceremony in which her students were honored.
