BREWERTON, NY – Mother Nature won a round last Friday, June 1, that just gave all the race teams a week off to regroup to come out with both barrels blazing this Friday June 8 as Stadium International Trucks presents a full night of racing at the Brewerton Speedway. The Home Depot will also be on hand for the popular Home Depot Kids Work Shop with fun activities for all of our younger fans.
Keep the streak going- is the talk amongst the fans about the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds this season. There has not been a repeat winner yet as the division looks to go six for six. Feature winners to date include, Ryan Phelps, Alan Johnson, Jimmy Phelps, Willy Decker and Billy Decker.
As an added bonus to different Modified drivers winning a feature is the “NAPA Winners Classic” on the last point’s night of the 2012 season. The race is open to all Modified feature winners this season. First place prize will be $1,000 cash plus additional awards to be announced. All drivers will get a share of the $3,500 posted purse. Specific qualifying and race format are still being finalized.
“Winning a feature event at Brewerton Speedway is a daunting task and we wanted to further reward those that are able to pull it off,” said Aaron Smith, District Manager for NAPA Genuine Parts in May, “We are hopeful this will become an annual tradition at Brewerton.”
Also on the race card will be the Nationwide Insurance IMCA Modifieds, Beaver River Distribution Mod Lites and Anchor Bar & Grill Four Cylinder Super Stocks.
