AmeriCorps Members Assist Health Department

OSWEGO – Summer AmeriCorps members at the Oswego County Health Department and the Oswego Bookmobile: Jack Carmody, Kristin Hadley and Tori Zerrahn completed a community involvement project for their term of service assignment.

They received monetary donations from 23 employees of the Health Department.

Conducting a Jean Day, in which the employees could donate $5 to help raise funds for the three AmeriCorps members, 27 no-sew fleece blankets were made by Jack, Kristin and Tori.

The blankets made were donated to the Oswego County Health Department’s Preventive Health Office.

From there, they will generously be given to the families of babies who receive services and care from the nurses in Preventive Health.
