This year’s CNY Healthy Family Expo will take place at the Lake Ontario Conference Center at 26 E. First St. from noon to 4 p.m.

This is a free event for the entire family and the first 200 families will receive a swag bag full of goodies.

The expo will feature fun family and child activities, raffles/door prizes, demonstrations, free samples and workshops from more than 50 vendors, sponsors and service providers, all focused on the Expo’s central theme of helping families find small steps and simple solutions to have a more active, healthier and family focused lifestyle.

Starting in 2013, the  aforementioned Health Baby Expo drew hundreds of participants each year.

With the expanded scope of the expo in 2017, now being the CNY Healthy Family Expo, the projected attendance is even higher.

“We wanted to expand the scope of what we were doing and provide an Expo that really focused on the entire family” said principal organizer Lisa Emmons, owner of the Mother Earth Baby in Oswego. “Helping families find simple ways of improving their overall health is more critical than ever in such a fast paced society.”

Amy Keech, owner of Keech Photography and Busy Bee Acres has been a co-organizer of the expo since 2013.

Keech said, “The expo is such a wonderful opportunity for the entire family to explore and have fun together while learning some things they can do at home to improve their well being as a family unit.”

Sponsors of the CNY Healthy Family Expo include: Mother Earth Baby, Keech Photography, Unitedhealthcare Community Plan, and Just Push Play Productions.
