The Art Association of Oswego (AAO) announces the opening of two new exhibitions at the Oswego Civic Arts Center. One show is entitled STRATA–it is an invitational exhibition of artwork by Central New York artists who work with layers in tradition and nontraditional ways. The second show is a solo exhibition of recent work by Oswego-area artist Amanda Mainville. Both exhibitions will open with a reception from 7-9 pm on Saturday, August 27. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. These exhibits will be on display until Sunday, September 25.
The Oswego Civic Arts Center is the red brick building at the northernmost end of East 4th Street in Oswego, directly across from historic Fort Ontario. Regular gallery hours are from 2-5 pm on weekends. Exhibitions are also open for viewing during any scheduled art classes or by appointment. Group tours are encouraged.
