The Fulton Lions Club has announced that it will host “The Mane Event” comedy night with nationally known comedians Tony Deyo and Dan Mahoney, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. at the Fulton Polish Home. All proceeds benefit the club’s “H” and Mary Dowd Scholarship Fund.
Recently, Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO program made a field trip to Camp Hollis as part of its summer activities programs. Participants were able to enjoy baseball, the playground and many more activities at the camp.
On Aug. 20, Friends of Fulton Parks will celebrate “A Day At The Park” at Voorhees Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with music, fun and games for children and adults.
The 2016 Oswego Writing Institute, co-sponsored by the SUNY Oswego School of Education, Team Sheldon, and the Fulton City School District, August 16-17, will benefit the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County, said Mike Egan, president of the LCOC Leadership Council. There is no charge to attend the two-day event, but all donations will benefit LCOC.

The Fulton Jazz Festival, returns Aug. 12 and 13, featuring trumpeter Jumaane Smith, lead trumpeter for internationally famous vocalist Michael Buble. The event is on the shore of Lake Neahtahwanta, behind the Fulton War Memorial on Route 3 and admission is free.
