Opera Theater To Perform ‘Brundibár,’ Children’s Opera About Hope
Oswego Opera Theater, under the direction of Dr. Juan F. La Manna, a music professor at SUNY Oswego, will present the children’s opera “Brundibár” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at the Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St. in Oswego.

There will be a Relay For Life of Oswego-Fulton kickoff celebration Tuesday, March 27, at Vona’s Restaurant in Oswego. The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Vona’s, 9 Willow St. There will be food, information tables, fundraising ideas and more.

As was widely reported, earlier this month Joe Percoco, a former top-aide to Governor Cuomo, was found guilty of three corruption-related charges. While corruption convictions of state officials, sadly, are nothing new, the Percoco conviction was front page news because of his very close relationship to Governor Cuomo. Also, the trial shed light on how a few connected people have tremendous control over billions of dollars of public money that is supposed to be used for economic development.

Oswego County Historical Society Silent Auction Benefit Set April 6
The Oswego County Historical Society will host its 31st Annual “Not So Silent Auction” fundraiser on April 6 from 6 – 9 p.m. at The American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St., Oswego. Admission is $20 and includes a light food buffet, refreshments and cash bar. Tickets are available in advance and at the door the day of the event.

Oswego Egg Hunt Set March 31 at Breitbeck Park
The Oswego Kiwanis Club and the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau will host an Easter egg hunt at Breitbeck Park beginning at 10 a.m. March 31. No registration is required. The event features free raffles, candy in eggs and goody bags for all kids, with refreshments and games in the pavilion after the hunt.
