This past election, voters were asked to authorize that our State Constitution be amended to allow for the construction of up to seven casinos in New York State. Voters approved the measure by a 57% to 43% margin. It was one of the most controversial referendums in recent history. Not only was the measure itself controversial, but the language explaining the referendum was also controversial.
The following events and activities are set at SUNY Oswego for January.
They will be held at 1 p.m. at the Mexico branch of the Oswego County Federal Credit Union on Route 3 (5828 Scenic Ave). The first will take place on January 6 at 1 p.m. with special guest speaker, Jim Farfaglia, author of “Of the Earth” Stories from Oswego County Muck Farms.

Oswego Hospital’s Maternity Center was presented new mom baskets by store managers of The Cellular Connection. Tara Sahlberg, of the Pulaski store, and Corey Bryant of the Central Square store, recently delivered the baskets that included many items that new mothers need.
