Oswego AOH Members Honor Dean Michael Barry’s 180th Birthday
Members of the Oswego Chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians laid flowers on the gravesite of The Most Reverend Dean Michael Barry in commemoration of his 180th birthday.
Eleven teams competed in the tournament that served as a fundraiser to benefit two of Catholic Charities’ most in-demand programs, the food pantry and CYO. The programs provide food for those in need and recreational and educational activities for area youth.
Police located the suspect in a Mexico motel room along with the victim. Further investigation determined that at approximately 3:56 a.m. on Friday, he had arrived at the victim’s residence in the city of Oswego, where he had engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim by forcible compulsion.
Hannibal turned out for its annual parade Thursday night. Half of the community was in the parade and the other half lined the streets of the village to applaud the passing bands, politicians and floats.
