One of my focuses as a lawmaker has been to improve insurance-related laws in New York. There are a number of bills I’d like to see pass that would improve the atmosphere in the insurance industry, crack down on insurance fraud and, ultimately, lower premiums in New York.
The Fulton Shirts ‘n Shirts Square Dance Club recently collected toys and food to aid the less fortunate in our area. The toys were taken to the Salvation Army in Fulton and the food was given to a food pantry serving the Baldwinsville area.

David A. Phillips, 56, of Fulton died Thursday December 6, 2012, at Rosewood Heights Nursing Home in Syracuse.
Elizabeth “Peg” Burch, 90, a resident of the Ladies Home in Oswego, passed away Saturday December 8, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
Vera K. Taylor, 94, a resident of Baldwinsville and a long-time resident of Oswego, passed away Saturday afternoon December 8, 2012, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
