Assemblyman Will Barclay recently toured the CNY Arts Center in Fulton. The CNY Arts Center secured a building in the spring and is currently hosting classes in visual and textile arts, as well as dance and writing.
After nearly a year of planning a new Oswego High School mascot is expected to take to the sidelines in late September. Judy Queale-Dunsmoor, President of the Buccaneer Boosters, noted, “We started talking about this about a year ago. We hoped to increase school spirit and bring a professional image to the sidelines of our sports events and school assemblies.”
Mary R. Woods, 95, a resident of East Tenth Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 18, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.

Based in part on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s books “A Scandal in Bohemia” and “The Final Problem,” the show will preview at 8 p.m. Oct. 11, and run at 8 p.m. Oct. 12, 13, 19 and 20, with a concluding matinee at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 21. All performances are at Waterman Theatre in SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Hall.
