State Police in Pulaski investigated a personal injury accident that occurred around 11:30 a.m. on June 25 at the Oswego County Transfer Station parking lot in the town of Richland.

In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, June 27, Oswego County Opportunities’ Crisis and Development Services encourages community members to be tested for HIV, a disease that targets the immune system. An annual observance throughout the nation, National HIV Testing Day helps to raise awareness of the importance of HIV testing.

Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, Karrie Damm, has announced that Tracy Henry has joined the staff as Lead Victim Advocate. A graduate of SUNY Oswego, Henry holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Justice, with a minor in Forensic Science.

Operation Oswego County was recently awarded “excellence” for its 2010 Annual Report by the New York State Economic Development Council’s 2012 marketing and promotional materials award competition.

The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for dogs, cats and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 11 at the County Highway Garage, 24 Dill Pickle Alley, Parish.
