When John and I were in Roscommon, Ireland, during June 2011 I contacted Sarah Browne to set up a cooking experience featuring Irish food. I was surprised to learn that in Ireland the traditional dish is bacon and cabbage served with a side of Savoy cabbage boiled in the bacon water, accompanied by champ which is mashed potatoes seasoned with scallions, milk, and butter along with salt and pepper.

St. Norbert ice hockey coach Tom Coghlin, sitting proudly before the press corps, said, “This is the most proud I have been of any team I have coached,” after his Green Knights advanced to the NCAA Division III Ice Hockey Championship game with a 4-1 win over number one seeded Norwich.

‘It Was A Heck Of A Hockey Game’ Lakers Survive In OT
It was a game of two gigantic heavyweights standing toe to toe and slugging it out for nearly three and a half periods before Laker Paul Rodrigues was on the receiving end of a Luke Moodie pass. Moodie battled along the boards for the puck and got it out of a crowd to Rodrigues who was breaking in on All-American, Division III Players of the year Jonathan LaRose.
