If your child is under 10 years old and received their first dose of H1N1 vaccine at the Oswego County Health Department’s school-based clinic for Oswego City Schools in December, a second booster dose is now strongly recommended.

The New Year Brings An Opportunity to Recognize Our Firefighters
As we begin this new year, I would like to take a moment to recognize the firefighters across the county and the chiefs and officers who lead them. In addition to the municipal paid and industry companies, Oswego County has approximately 30 volunteer fire departments that are manned by more than 1,000 volunteer firefighters.

As president of the medical staff, Dr. Satterlee will serve as the liaison between Oswego Health’s physicians, the Board, and the administration. She replaces Allison Duggan, M.D., who has been president for the past two years.

Oswego State men’s ice hockey player Jon Whitelaw (Fr., Huntsville, Ont.) has been named the SUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Hockey Rookie of the Week for the week ending January 25, 2010. The No. 1-ranked Lakers remained undefeated in conference play at 10-0-0 and moved to 18-1-0 overall on the season after posting wins over Buffalo State and Fredonia.
