Jean M. Smith, 85
Jean M. Smith, 85, a life resident of Fulton, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Sunday at Oswego Hospital after a long illness.
Fulton Police say they tried to pull over John D. Halstead, Jr., 41, of 1065 St. Rt. 48, at about 2:03 a.m. Sunday after watching his speeding car hit a curb on W. 1st St. (Route 48) near Curtis St.
Police allege Halstead did not pull over. Instead, he hit the gas, hitting speeds of up to 80 miles an hour as he left the city on Rt. 48.

You might have noticed something new in the last few weeks, over at the top of the second column. We’re bringing you the daily audio reports of a new website called RadioOswego.com. Today, meet Marv Kaminsky, the voice behind RadioOswego.com. He once was a radio newscaster in Oswego County, back when there was local news and local radio. Local radio stations may be a thing of the past, but Marv says there’s still a need for local information in broadcast style. Check out RadioOswego through the links on our site, and take a look at our profile of a man who’s trying to bring back local radio.
Mary Buske turned eleven years old in July.
