High Water Levels Doesn’t Deter Paddlefest

As predicted, the water levels were regular Saturday morning and Paddlefest held a successful 10-mile trek of paddlers from Fulton to Oswego. Hundreds of people took part in the third annual Paddlefest event. After completion of the paddle, Rock the Locks was held at Oswego Yacht Club Marina, where there were musical performances, food vendors, drinks, children activities and more.

Chamber Spotlight: Tavern on the Lock

Location and family. Those are the two driving forces behind owners of Tavern on the Lock in Fulton. The building, previously owned under the name The Lock III, was the selling point for owners Donald and Susan Ryan. After falling in love with the building and all it has to offer, Susan and Donald opened the restaurant in February of 2008. But, not before they did a complete remodel overhaul leaving only original windows and brick.

Bodley Seniors Eagerly Walk the Stage at 2015 Graduation Ceremony

Parents, family members, friends, teachers, school staff and administrators packed the Fulton Community Ice Arena on Saturday, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the G. Ray Bodley graduating class of 2015. A full house welcomed the young, lively group of students as they prepared to walk the stage and accept their diplomas. The Valedictorian encouraged her friends to work hard and persevere, in doing so they can do more than they’d ever thought possible. And, she inspired her peers to take pride in where they come from.

Granby elementary third grade students of Karen Murdoch’s class entirely designed and created Fulton’s very own Little Free Library. What is a Little Free Library? you may ask. Well, it is simply that: a little, free library. Presented at Bullhead Point, a small, free standing library now exists for community members to take a book and return a book for free.

Ladies Rule the Range Empowers Women through Shooting Sports

Women of all ages will soon come together at the Ladies Rule the Range annual event to test their aim. Pathfinder Fish and Game Club will host the event. Women are able to experience a variety of shooting sports that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to try. “Through the Ladies Rule the Range event we strive to empower women through education and constructive experience in the use of hand guns, long guns and archery equipment,” said founder of the event, LouAnn Daniels.
