The Oswego Elks will hold its annul Big Bucks Party on October 1. We will have a 50/50 raffles during the day also we will be having a Chinese auction. The party is open to the public.

The Mexico Academy and Central School District recently welcomed Jennifer Stanton as its Director of Pupil Services. Her passion for helping children overcome challenges began in college when she had an internship at a pre-school for students with disabilities and immediately “loved leveling the playing field for students who have great potential.”
A few dozen Fulton City School District teachers recently attended the Oswego Writing Institute 2017 to learn current writing techniques to be more effective in their writing instruction. Several teachers also presented workshops.

The Oswego City School District announced today changes to its school lunch pricing for the upcoming 2017-18 school year. Pending board of education approval, the price of elementary, middle and high school lunches will increase by 10 cents each, effective September 6.
Beginning September 6, OHS buses will be loaded and unloaded in the parking lot east of the high school between OHS and Liberty Street. In previous years buses were loaded and unloaded on Buccaneer Boulevard.
The Greer family, performing under the name of Lindley Creek, will hold a concert at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church on August 26 at 6 p.m. Lindley Creek is an acoustic family band, showcasing beautiful bluegrass and gospel music.
Thanks to the generosity of community members and the Mexico Academy and Central School District Faculty Association, 301 Mexico students received brand new backpacks stuffed with necessary supplies to start the 2017-18 school year.
