Come enjoy an evening concert of avian songs, with a walk co-led by Faith Baker of the Onondaga Audubon Society and naturalist Pat Carney at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Educational Center on June 5, at 7 p.m.
Students at Pulaski Middle/Senior High School presented a showcase of musical talent featuring vocal performances from some of the greatest musical productions of all time. A fitting beginning to the evening’s entertainment was the song “Maybe This Time” by Cassie Delgado from the musical “Cabaret.”
Hannibal students saw first-hand the dangers of drinking and driving at a recent mock DWI demonstration at the Hannibal High School. Hannibal juniors and seniors played the parts of drivers and victims involved in a head-on collision. The event is intended to educate the Hannibal audience on the realities of poor driving decisions and encourage them to make good choices during prom season.
Residents, cottage and business owners, and visitors to the eastern Lake Ontario shore and North Sandy Pond areas are invited to meet with staff from New York Sea Grant and the Oswego County Soil and Conservation District to share their stories and photos of storms and storm damage at the Sandy Creek Town Hall, 1992 Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek, on May 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Oswego County STOP-DWI Coordinator Robert Lighthall announced today that Oswego County police agencies will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving. The statewide STOP-DWI Crackdown efforts start on May 22 and will end on May 28. Memorial Day week is historically a deadly period for impaired driving.
Michael McAndrew has announced his candidacy for Oswego County District Attorney. Currently, McAndrew serves as principal court attorney to the Honorable Walter Hafner Jr. in Oswego County Court and State Supreme Court. His campaign is focused on returning the District Attorney’s Office to the people of Oswego County.
