A fundraiser night at Fajita Grill is planned for Sept. 18 from 5 – 9 p.m. to help out local children working to help find a cure to Type 1 Diabetes. The kids invite the community to have a meal at Fajita Grill Tuesday night with 10% of total sales going to their team efforts.
In late September, the Oswego Youth Court will be celebrating National Youth Court Month with an induction ceremony for its newest members as well as a recognition ceremony for its experienced members.
August graduates and a Vietnam veteran received their high school diplomas during the September 11 Oswego City School District Board of Education meeting. In regular meeting action, the resignation of board member William Myer was accepted by the Board of Education.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Donald J. Martin Jr., 35, of 603 County Route 30, Apt. 4, Williamstown, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child. He is alleged to have smoked Amped in the presence of a child.
Weather permitting, the Oswego County Health Department will conduct aerial spraying tonight, September 11. The aerial spray will begin after 6:45 p.m. If the spraying is postponed due to weather conditions, residents will be notified through the news media and information will be posted at www.oswegocounty.com
On 9/10/12 at 9:54 p.m., Janna L. Manson, 32, of 607 CR 30 Apt 4, Williamstown, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. She allegedly smoked Amped in the presence of a child and then held on to the steering wheel of the vehicle as patrol attempted to restrain her.
State Senator Patty Ritchie has announced her “Women of Distinction” exhibit is now on display at the Pulaski Public Library. The display is available for viewing during regular library hours.
On Tuesday at approximately 7:15 p.m., the funeral procession for SPC Kyle Rookey will proceed from the Oswego County Airport to Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. The procession will be traveling north on State Route 481. Persons wishing to view the procession are asked to assemble in the lot north of Tim Horton’s on East First Street no later than 7:30 p.m. East Second Street will be closed to traffic between East Bridge and East Oneida streets
On August 21, a group of volunteers led by AmeriCorps member Matthew Harmer helped to clear debris and fallen trees from Fort Ontario State Historic Site; in the process, they also managed to track down a stone monument which marked the location of the 1821 – 1836 lighthouse.
