The Oswego City Police Department recently arrested 33-year-old Bruce H. Macmillan, of 269 W. Third St., Oswego, and charged him with several crimes stemming from a string of incidents allegedly committed by Macmillan since March .
“I am pleased that Governor Cuomo and the Health Department have taken a strong stance and banned the sale and distribution of synthetic marijuana,” said Barclay. “This harmful drug has been a threat to the safety and well-being of our children for too long and I am glad that our youth will no longer be legally exposed to its dangerous effects.”
The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced that Oswego State senior forward Chad Burridge was voted ECAC Division III Upstate Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, while junior forward Hayden Ward was named to the ECAC Division III Upstate First Team.
MACS was evaluated on 168 health and safety criterion and earned the highest level of distinction, the titanium award, from the Utica National School Safety Excellence Awards Program.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students much have an academic average between 3.5 and 4.0.
The Fulton Elks will be serving fish dinners (and other choices) every Friday through April 6. Serving will be from 5 – 7 p.m. in the lodge hall at 57 Pierce Drive. Dinners are open to the public and takeouts are available.
The principals’ group, known as the Oswego County Administrators included BOCES’ Director of Career and Technical Education Ronald Camp; Brian Schmitt, Hannibal High School principal; Brian Buchanan, assistant principal at G. Ray Bodley High School; and Jamie Coppola, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School principal.
The Utica National School Safety Excellence Awards Program is divided into three levels – titanium, platinum and gold. OCB earned the highest merit of distinction in the program, the titanium with honors award.
