Man’s Weight Loss Story Entertains Rotarians

Jay Wornick, left is being thanked by Rotarian Betty Fadden for his presentation at a recent Fulton Noon Rotary Club meeting.  Betty is the Executive Director of the Fulton YMCA.  Jay is one of Betty’s “Health Seekers.”  Jay explained, in a very interesting and dramatic way, how he changed his life style and lost 200 pounds in the last 10 months.  Jay used a combined program of natural foods, fruits and vegetables and daily exercise to reduce his weight. Jay's interesting story was carried in the Syracuse Post Standard and he and his family appeared on "Good Morning America" recently.Jay explained, in a very interesting and dramatic way, how he changed his life style and lost 200 pounds in the last 10 months.

Hyperion String Quartet, Pianist to Offer ‘Highly Personal’ Works

 The Hyperion String Quarter will appear with SUNY Oswego pianist and faculty member Robert Auler at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, in Sheldon Hall ballroom on campus, offering piano quintets of Shostakovich and Franck. Tickets may be obtained at any SUNY Oswego box office, online at http://tickets.oswego.edu or by calling 315-312-2141.Hyperion String Quartet will appear Wednesday, Nov. 30, at SUNY Oswego, adding a fifth player, the college’s Robert Auler, to perform “highly personal, highly original” interpretations of two landmark piano quintets.

Rotarians Learn About Funeral Service Business

Rotarian, Zachery Menter, discussed his new vocation with the members of the Fulton Rotary Club, at a recent meeting.  When Zach was in high school and college, he worked at the family business, Oswego County Ambulance Service, as an EMT.  Because Menter's Ambulance also has a funeral hearse division, Zach decided to obtain his license as a Mortician, as his father, Jim Menter, did many years ago.  Zach explained to the Rotarians all of the steps and education he had to obtain to become licensed in this field.  Zach is presently completing his internship for his Funeral Director license.Rotarian, Zachery Menter, discussed his new vocation with the members of the Fulton Rotary Club, at a recent meeting.
