College’s EOP Summer Program Students Volunteer at Harborfest

More than 90 SUNY Oswego incoming freshmen who attended the Educational Opportunity Program's four-week college preparatory program volunteered to help in a wide variety of jobs at the 2011 Harborfest on July 29. Eleven peer leaders accompanied them. Pouring it on behind the T-shirt painting table in the Harborfest Children's Pavilion are, left rear, peer leader Karisa Clark, a SUNY Oswego senior from Glens Falls who majors in marketing, and EOP summer program volunteer Esther Bussi, a freshman business major from Bronx Leadership Academy. Auxiliary Dedicates Display Case to Former Director

Members of the Oswego Health Auxiliary have dedicated a display case just off Oswego Hospital’s main lobby in memory of Mary Ann Chamberlain. 	Chamberlain was Director of Volunteer Services at Oswego Hospital from 1996 to July 2010, when she unexpectedly passed away. The display case is used by the Auxiliary to show off items they have for sale in their gift shop. 	In the photo from the left are Sarah Weigelt, Director of Volunteers and Auxiliary; Auxiliary Secretary Marion Duplessis, Auxiliary President Barbara Handley-Place and Auxiliary Member Terri Smith. The Oswego Healthcare System includes Oswego Hospital, The Manor at Seneca Hill, a skilled nursing facility; Springside at Seneca Hill, a retirement living community; an urgent care center in Fulton, as well as health services centers in Mexico, Parish and Phoenix. Oz Roller Girls Earn Triple-D Title in 130-126 Thriller

The Oz Roller Girls celebrate as they watch the final point total come up for their 130-126 comeback victory over the Ithaca Bluestockings to win the first-ever Triple-D Tournament championship. Oz scored 13 points on the final jam as time expired for its third win in three days to take the title.
