Scene Around Pumpkin Fest

plenty of pumpkins

This year’s winner of the CNY Oswego Great Pumpkin Weigh Off was Matt VerSchneider of Freeville with a 1,283-pound entry. It would have even bested last year’s winner (Alan Nesbitt’s 1,229.5-pounder). This year saw dozens of entries with seven topping the 1,000-pound plateau and three were more than 1,240 pounds. Besides pumpkins there were plenty of fun and games, music and food for the entire family. And, of course, pumpkins – lots and lots of pumpkins.

  1. The Weather Was Great, the Pumpkins amazing, and I had one of the most fun afternoons (two of them!), I’ve had at Pumpkin Fest ever! Congrats to the folks that make this community activity possible. OBVIOUSLY, it draws attendees from far and wide!
