FULTON, NY – A chicken barbeque and benefit is being planned for Dennis and Lynn Lyons who recently lost their home and belongings to fire, water and smoke damage.
The fire on Sunday morning January 15 started in the garage of the Lyons’ home on County Route 85 in Granby and quickly spread to their breezeway, kitchen, dining room, sun porch, back deck and their son’s upstairs bedroom. Smoke and water damaged the remainder of the home.
The total damage included the lost of three vehicles, several pieces of lawn equipment and a large collection of tools in the garage.
Dennis and Lynn Lyons are well known in this area and are among the most generous and loving people you could ever know.
The benefit will give their friends and acquaintances in the community a chance to give back some of that love and caring.
The event is set for April 29, at the Polish Home in Fulton, from noon to 5 p.m.
There will be raffles, entertainment and 50-50s.
Ticket donation for the barbecue is $10 presale, or $12 at the door.
Presale tickets pickup by 2 p.m.
Need not be present to win the door prize.
