MEXICO, NY – After a successful 2014 season in the small block supermodified division at Oswego Speedway, J.J. Andrews will once again team up with Billy Whittaker CARS and TRUX, of Central Square, for the 2015 season.
Andrews will seek his first championship in his 18th season as a driver in the division.

J.J. Andrews has been racing in the small block supermodified division since 1997, and currently sits in 5th place in all-time points. Andrews drives the Jason Simmons owned Team Tapout #93, Hedger Chassis. Andrews has won a feature in each of his three seasons driving for Team Tapout, including the 2014 Small Block Supermodified Classic, a career highlight.
“We plan to make 2015 our best season yet, after grabbing Classic last September. We’ve been working hard in the shop during the off-season, and have every intention of bringing that momentum along with us to 2015, to get our first title,” said Andrews.
Andrews returns with a fresh Morrison Performance Chevy engine. All three Team Tapout team cars, driven by Jason Simmons, Barry Kingsley, and Andrews have been stripped, and updated to the new chassis modifications by builder Ray Hedger.
New bodies have been built by Kingsley and graphics by Mark and Ian VanLuven.
As main sponsor, Billy Whittaker’s is joined by returning associate partners Jimmie James BBQ, and Ashley Lynn Winery in 2015.

Oswego Speedway’s racing season will begin on May 9 with the Speedway’s 65th annual opening night celebration presented by Planet Fitness and Mitchell’s Speedway Press with mains for the Novelis Supermodifieds, Pathfinder Bank SBS, as well as the 75-lap Richie Evans Memorial for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series.
