Bishop’s Commons To Host Educational Workshop About Alzheimer’s Disease

OSWEGO – Bishop’s Commons Enriched Living residence in Oswego will host an educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease: The Basics” on November 7 beginning at 5 p.m.

Bishop Commons is located at 4 Burkle St.

The educational program is free of charge and open to the public.

The workshop explains the basics of memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease that will include information on symptoms and effects of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, how Alzheimer’s effects the brain, causes and risk factors, how to find out if your loved one has Alzheimer’s, the benefits of early detection, how to address the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, stages of the disease, treatment and ways the Alzheimer’s Association and other community resources can help.

Registration for “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease” program is required.
