Brewerton, Fulton Speedways Proud To Be Part Of $150,000 American Racer Cup

By Dave Medler
BREWERTON, NY – For the second season the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways will be part of the $ 150,000 American Racer Cup for Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified teams.

Teams have until May 14 to register for this year’s American Racer Cup program. Drivers are urged to signup opening night April 20 at the Brewerton Speedway.

The American Racer Cup ranking system makes for a very interesting program for the participating race teams and the fans that follow the cup standings every weekend. The ranking system is based on three criteria: A driver’s weekly finishes at their home track. The number of teams that start a feature at each race meet and a driver’s best twelve finishes in 2012 will also be factored in to the formula for the overall champion. The nice part for the participating race teams is that they only have to compete at their home speedway to compete for the overall title.

Last season more than 200 teams competed in the American Racer Cup among the twelve participating speedway’s in Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Once again Lias Tire and American Racer have teamed up with the Race of Champions Dirt Series to put the American Racer Cup program in motion. Like last year a lot of money and free tires will be up for grabs. Even more contingency programs will be available to the participating teams at no extra charge. Again this season should the Overall American Racer Cup Champion also go on to win the Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour Overall Title that individual will receive a $20,000 bonus from Lias Tire.

Support from great companies like 2011 supporters Troyer Race Cars, DMI, Beyea Custom Headers, Weld Racing, VP Racing Fuels, Sunoco Race Fuels, Ultrashield, Kirkey Racing Fabrication, American Racer, Lias Tire and the Race of Champions will be joined by the addition of participation from ATL Fuel Cells.

American Racer – Lias Tire and the Race of Champions have put this program together last year to show their continued support of the weekly racer. The added contingency sponsor opportunities will only help to enhance the program for the participating tracks and drivers.
