The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists in northern Onondaga and southern Oswego counties of upcoming bridge work that may affect their travel.
Beginning on Monday morning, February 16, Oswego County Route 12 will be closed to through traffic as it passes under NY 481, just outside the village of Phoenix, in the town of Schroeppel.
This closure is needed to repair the southbound Route 481 bridge, which was hit by a truck on January 5.
The closure duration will be approximately three weeks.
During the road closure, a posted detour will direct motorists to use Oswego County Routes 57 and 57A to bypass the work site.
No lane closures are anticipated for southbound NY 481.
