OSWEGO, NY – Just two races removed from the inaugural running of the Jim Shampine Memorial Twin 50s for the Novelis Supermodifieds back on May 26, the twin format will return to Oswego Speedway this weekend in the form of Twin 35s for the Supers alongside a 30-lap main event for the Pathfinder Bank SBS plus the first driver autograph session of the 2018 season presented by Burke’s Do It Best Home Center and Boscoo & Geers of Oswego.
The race program will bring 100 laps of feature action to fans between the two Novelis Supermodified Twin 35’s plus the Pathfinder Bank SBS 30 with the autograph session serving as a can’t miss part of this special event for kids of all ages. Those 16 years of age and uounger are admitted free to all regular speedway events this season with a paid adult.
The time schedule for the day will see pit gates open at 2:30 p.m., grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. with the start of hot laps, the autograph session taking place on the front straightaway at 5:15 p.m. and heat racing going green at 7 p.m. Group time trials will run prior to the heats beginning with the Supermodifieds at 6:30 p.m.
Due to their two features, Supermodified heat races will be run first this weekend to allow teams enough time to switch their cars over between main events.
