We’ve featured Trouble before, but he still needs a home where he can romp around and get into, well . . . trouble . . . like any other exuberant and good-hearted teenager. He is a handsome young boy, lively, affectionate, and totally playful. He likes to head butt his foster mom while he purrs his little heart out. He loves the other cats where he lives and he really needs to go to a home that has other cats for him to play with.

June 8-9 Great Lakes Crude Oil Transport Webinars Open to Public

Crude oil travels through the Great Lakes Basin by rail, truck, and barge. On Thursday, June 8, at 1 p.m. and Friday, June 9, at 8 a.m., the public can listen in by webinar as the Great Lakes Sea Grant Network, Great Lakes Commission, International Joint Commission, and Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative host a symposium on crude oil transport. Tool To Help Fight Mosquitoes Available Free At Local Soil And Water Conservation Offices

State Senator Patty Ritchie announced that free “dunk” kits containing larvicide that kills potentially disease-carrying mosquitoes in standing water and helps prevent the spread of diseases like EEE and West Nile Virus are now available to Central and Northern New York residents at local Soil and Water Conservation District offices.

The residents and staff of Springside at Seneca Hill, Oswego Health’s premier retirement community, are enjoying their fragrant blooming wisteria vine that grows over an attractive pergola. “This year the wisteria is particularly pretty, I’m told,” said Jason Santiago, Oswego Health vice president and chief operating officer of Springside and The Manor at Seneca Hill.
