SUNY Oswego To Stage Loathing-To-Love Story ‘Pride & Prejudice’

The SUNY Oswego theatre department will premiere its spring play, “Pride & Prejudice,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Waterman Theatre — a show that one of its lead actors, freshman Sean Ryan as Mr. Darcy, describes as about “first impressions.” Adapted by Jon Jory from Jane Austen’s classic 19th century novel, the college’s production also will run at 7:30 p.m. April 22 and 29, with a concluding matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 30.

Oswego Health’s Lakeside Heart Center Receives Donation

The staff of Oswego Health’s Lakeside Heart Center was presented with a donation from the family of Barbara Handley-Place, a program participant and longtime member of the Oswego Health Auxiliary, who served as president. Oswego Health will utilize the donated funds to purchase a new recumbent bicycle for program participants.

Oswego High School Drama Club To Premiere Play

The Oswego High School Drama Club will premiere a new play, “On The Terrace of the Doolittle Hotel” written and directed by Mark Cole, on May 5 and 6 at 7:30 each evening at the Robinson–Faust Theatre of the Performing Arts. The play takes place in Oswego, in September 1901 and features the character of Dr. Mary E. Walker.

Remarkable Inspection For Sea Cadets Truxtun DDG-103 Division

The Regional Director for Central and Western New York, Lt. Commander Steve Adams came to the Oswego Division and completed the annual inspection of the unit. Each cadet is inspected from head to toe to ensure proper wearing of uniforms, name tags, patches insignias and to make sure they were following the USNSCC protocols.
