The United Baptist Church of Scriba will host a spaghetti dinner at the Mexico VFW, located on Route 3, on March 18, to support our local “Blessings in a Backpack” program in Mexico. Serving will start at 4 p.m. and continue until 6:30 p.m.

It is time celebrate and rejoice in the arrival of the vernal equinox at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center. On March 19 at 2 p.m., come for a wander about the woodlands, ponds, and brook with naturalist Pat Carney, looking and listening for the messengers of spring.

Congratulations to William Maynard from Pulaski a senior at Pulaski Acadademy and Centra; Junior-Senior School on acceptance into Culver-Stockton College’s fall 2017 incoming class.

North Volney Methodist Church will host a flea market on May 6 and is looking for interested vendors to participate. The flea market will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with set up time starting at 9 a.m.

Applications for the PreK Program are now available in the Oswego City School District. This program is designed for children who were born between December 2, 2012, and December 1, 2013, and is offered at no cost. Children are selected by lottery.

The Golden Ticket Referral Program mirrors similar programs at the Fulton City School District elementary buildings, which honor students who have succeeded with the district’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports initiative.
