To be named to the President’s List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

Nicholas Gilmour, a native of Cato, NY, graduated from Ithaca College’s School of Communications with a degree in Television-Radio. The degree was awarded in December 2016.

“It is terrific that faculty, staff, visitors and students that are nursing mothers now have access to the use of lactation rooms on campus,” said Amy Plotner, assistant vice president for human resources at the college. “This is an important aspect of ensuring accessible, private, safe, and specifically designated spaces that will help provide a supportive environment on campus.”

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.

Stephen Dunn, Hannibal High School principal, has announced honor roll status for the second marking period.

A new open-air downtown market will begin the third Saturday of May and continue each third Saturday through September. From 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. May 20, June 17, July 15, Aug. 19 and Sept. 16 the downtown market will feature more than 20 vendors, live music and food trucks.

Senate Select Committee on Libraries Chair Senator Patty Ritchie announced that she has introduced legislation that calls for a study to identify the economic impact public libraries have on communities where they are located.

Oswego County Opportunities has welcomed 11 new members to the agency’s staff. The new employees, who will join the OCO’s staff of human services professionals, recently completed the agency’s orientation process and will begin to serve consumers in their respective programs.
