Registrations for the upcoming Fulton Little League season will be held in the cafeteria area of the Fulton War Memorial on January 14 (8 a.m. – 1 p.m.), January 21 (1 – 6 p.m.) and January 28 (8 a.m. – 6 p.m.).
Assemblyman Will Barclay announced that there is a new SAFE Act requirement taking effect. Pistol permit holders are now being required to recertify every five years in order to maintain a pistol permit.
To earn Dean’s List honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.
Students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher qualify for the dean’s list at Buffalo State.
Keegan Wallace, a student at G. Ray Bodley High School, has been named one of the best musicians in the state. Wallace was selected to perform alongside several top high school students in the recent New York State School Music Association’s All-State Symphonic Band.
The University at Albany congratulates more than 3,500 students who were named to the Fall 2016 Dean’s List.
Over the holidays we learned of the loss of a few dear friends. In mid-November we started to close for the season and only go to the building by appointment only until March. Sales of the Oswego County History book published for the bicentennial are going very briskly. Half-Shire took a large consignment of books and the supply is moving out fast with between five and ten mailed out daily across the country.
The Sandy Creek Elementary will be conducting registration for kindergarten for 2017-18 on February 1 and 2 from 1 – 6 p.m. each day in the Elementary Office area.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
