Mark your calendars for the Cleveland Historical Society’s annual fundraiser and membership drive. The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. on January 21 at the American Legion on State Route 49 in Cleveland and includes a spaghetti dinner, silent auction and book sale.

On a stormy winter day, December 29, members of Lake City Masonic Lodge and Lake City Victoria Eastern Star gathered at Lake City Lodge in Oswego. A wonderful covered dish dinner was shared by the group.
Oswego Rotary recently hosted Stephanie Montero and Jeff Parker from ARISE speaking about the NYS Office of the State Long Term Care Ombudsman program. The program is an advocate and resource for persons who reside in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living and adult care facilities.
At its most recent annual holiday gathering, Northern Oswego County Health Services celebrated Sharon Ellis’ 30 years with the organization. Ellis is a familiar face to hundreds of children in the northern Oswego County area where her recent positions have been as a nurse practitioner in the School-Based Health Centers at the Lura Sharp Elementary School and Sandy Creek Central School.
During the month of December, the Oswego Middle School advisory classes worked diligently making hats, mittens, and scarves for the “Warm Hands, Warm Heads, Warm Hearts” winter apparel drive. The students created the apparel for the people of our community who may be in need this winter season.

The Fitzhugh Park Elementary School community came together to celebrate hard work and team spirit with their annual team photo.
Seventy-three contributions totaling $14,840 were collected during the campaign. This generous support from businesses and community members alike helped the Fund’s Advisory Committee secure $14,840 in matching dollars from the John Ben Snow Memorial Trust, bringing the combined total raised to $29,680.
