Construction Technology Students Build Ramps for ARISE
Construction Technology students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation’s Career and Technical Education program recently built 25 ramp sections for the ARISE Oswego County Ramp program.
Volunteers Help Clean Up Minetto
The Minetto Canal Clean Sweep volunteers met at Minetto Town Hall on Sunday. They took a group photo in front of a T-shirt wall hanging depicting the first 10 years of their participation in Canal Clean Sweep. Then, they each grabbed a garbage bag and a safety vest to start their clean up.
APW Scholar Athlete Teams Honored
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association recognized many teams for academic excellence at the end of the winter sport season, the girls’ basketball and volleyball teams from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District as well as APW’s shared boys’ ice hockey team with Pulaski Academy and Central School being a few.
Students Are In Self-Control at Fairgrieve Elementary
All 25 classroom teachers in grades kindergarten through six submitted the name of one student to receive the school’s Virtue of the Month Award.
FAA Announces Winners of High School Art Show
The Fulton Art Association has announced the winners of the tenth annual High School Invitational Art and Photography Show that was held at the Fulton Municipal Building March 12 and 13. Ninety-four students from high schools in Fulton, Hannibal, Oswego, and Phoenix school districts submitted 115 pieces of artwork in 13 categories.
Annual Oswego Opera Theater Golf Tournament Set
The sixth annual Oswego Opera Theater Golf Tournament will be held June 18 at Battle Island State Park, 2150 State Route 48 in Fulton. The cost will be $300 per team, but individuals may register and be placed on a team for $100.
SUNY Art Students Visit The Gardens
Residents at The Gardens discovered their painting skills when SUNY Oswego students Alicia Madonna and Olivia Allen, stopped by for a painting demonstration. Madonna and Allen, both majoring in Studio Art, gave the residents tips as each resident created their own painting using acrylic paints on canvas.
