Dr. Joanne Scandale, president of the Brain Injury Coalition of CNY spoke to a class at CCC in Fulton on Brain Injury 101. More presentations and activities are planned for Wednesday and Thursday this week between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Penny Kimball, an Oswego County artist, will return to the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center to teach Wood Carving in the Round as part of the Center’s Nature Inspires series. This hands-on class will be on April 17 and will begin at 2 p.m.

On March 20, a pancake breakfast to help Masonic charities will be held at Lake City Masonic Lodge No. 127 at 765 E. Seneca St. The hours will be from 8 a.m. until noon.

The “Fifty & Fabulous” Bowl-A-Fun hosted by Oswego County Opportunities includes a free party open to all! But you must have a ticket to be admitted. The party starts at 2:30 p.m. on April 9 at Lakeview Lanes on Route 3 West.

Assemblyman Will Barclay recently toured Oswego Industries in Fulton. Oswego Industries employs more than 150 individuals with disabilities and provides vocational training, day habilitation, and technology training.

Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream is auditioning actors for CNY Arts Center’s next production to run May 13-22 at the Cayuga College Fulton Campus location. Auditions will be held Thursday (March 17), from 7-9 p.m. and the 19th from 2-5 p.m. with callbacks scheduled for the 20th from 6-8 p.m.

Fulton’s newest Rotarians are a husband and wife team. Pat Kinane joined the Fulton Noon Rotary Club a few weeks ago and he enjoyed it so much that he sponsored his wife, Pamela, to join him.

University Police at SUNY Oswego attained state accreditation recently, an achievement that marks it as one of only 10 departments in the State University system and fewer than 150 police agencies of all kinds statewide to meet scores of exacting standards of professionalism.

Shellie Taylor, R.D., first shared with the students that creatures such sharks can grow new teeth; lizards can even grow up to 200 new teeth in a year. “But once we have our adult teeth in, humans can’t grow new ones,” said Taylor. “That’s why we have to make sure that we take care of our teeth.”
