Seniors enrolled in the Public Safety and Justice program at the Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation were recently saluted for their efforts during a year-end recognition ceremony. Thirty young adults with Bike & Build Inc., a national non-profit committed to affordable housing, are bicycling into Palermo on their journey across the United States. The cyclists, as part of the Northern US route, are traveling from Portsmouth, NH to Vancouver, BC to raise money and awareness for affordable housing causes.

Hundreds of spey casting fanatics will celebrate their unique sport with expert instructors and equipment manufacturers on the legendary Salmon River Friday through Sunday, June 26 to 28, for the eighth annual “Spey Nation.” The informal gathering gives anglers who cast with spey rods the opportunity to discuss techniques, buy equipment, learn from the experts, and share their enjoyment of spey casting as a form of fly fishing.
“Doing it Our Way” Spring Soccer clinic, part of a Parents of Special Children program and run by group of Oswego student athletes recently wrapped up another season of soccer fun for all who participated. The six-week series of clinics and games was attended by nearly 40 children of all ages and abilities who participated in weekly “fun” games of soccer with everyone scoring big on the field.

Oswego County residents who are uninsured, or whose insurance doesn’t cover the shingles vaccine, may be eligible to receive the shingles vaccine through the Oswego County Health Department. The health department recently received a supply of shingles vaccine from the New York State Department of Health.
