Members of the Child Advocacy Center’s Multi-Disciplinary Team were recently recognized at the agency’s Annual Meeting for their extraordinary investigative efforts. Over the past year, the CAC served 475 children, provided 3,375 therapy sessions, and forensically investigated more than 140 cases.

SUNY Oswego’s Penfield Library will hold a public sale of books and other library materials from 1 to 4 p.m. June 5 and 9 to 11 a.m. on June 6 in conjunction with the college’s Reunion 2015 weekend.

On May 17, a pancake breakfast will be held at Lake City Lodge 127 from 8 a.m. until noon. The menu includes pancake, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries coffee, tea, milk and orange juice.

Oswego County Opportunities Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier has announced that Kristin LaBarge was recently honored with the agency’s prestigious Amelia Whelahan Leadership Award during OCO’s annual meeting held April 22 at Springside at Seneca Hill.

Construction Technology students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently spent some time helping to rebuild some of the fencing at Fort Ontario in Oswego. The fence needed to be constructed from materials that were available in the 1800s thus providing a distinctive learning experience for the students.

In addition to two half-day UPK sections, a full-day Pre-K program will be added for those students who do not necessarily fall into the guidelines for the UPK program, but who are not quite ready for kindergarten.

Dr. Fehmi Damkaci, a SUNY Oswego chemistry faculty member long active with his students in lab research, journal publications, conference presentations and career guidance, will receive the 2015 Provost’s Award for Mentoring in Scholarly and Creative Activity.

On June 1, the Hannibal Historical Society will hold its annual banquet at the Hannibal United Methodist Church on Church Street beginning at 6:30 p.m. The ladies and gentlemen of the church will serve a roast beef dinner for $10 per person.
