College Gallery To Exhibit Prints Of Oswego High School Student Artists

Oswego State Downtown will display the prints of 12 Oswego High School students in a free public exhibition titled “Printmaking Unraveled” from May 29 to June 27. The opening reception for the artists in instructor Billie Jo Peterson’s printmaking class will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. May 29, at the branch of Tyler Art Gallery and the College Store, at the corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego. The exhibition runs through June 27.

CiTi Students Help Rebuild Fort Ontario Fence

Construction Technology students from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation recently spent some time helping to rebuild some of the fencing at Fort Ontario in Oswego. The fence needed to be constructed from materials that were available in the 1800s thus providing a distinctive learning experience for the students.

Oswego High School Technology Club Hosts Electrathon Competition at Oswego Speedway

An Electrathon, involves three- or four-wheeled electric vehicles, somewhat similar in overall appearance to a Go-Kart with an aerodynamic body, but powered by an electric motor and batteries. According to Matt Bock, the OHS Technology Club advisor, an Electrathon is a one-hour competition that tests drivers and vehicles to see how many laps the car can go within that time frame.
