The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a three session Internet Basics workshop on May 4, 11 and 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. This free workshop will include topics such as how to connect to the Internet, how to use a web browser, searching for information, online privacy and safety, email and social media.
On April 23 from 12:30 to 10 p.m., the Oswego County Salvation Army will hold a fundraiser at YoBerry Frozen Yogurt Bar in Oswego, where a percentage of proceeds will go to support the Salvation Army’s Long Point Camp Campaign.

Head Start Pre-K program goal is promoting school readiness through hands-on learning experiences, active play, and nutritious meals and snacks. Staff include teachers with masters or bachelor’s degrees in education, teaching assistants, classroom aides, family advocates, cooks and nurses.
The Oswego County Legislature recognized April as Fair Housing Month during its monthly meeting. The proclamation supports equal housing opportunities to all county residents.

The Oswego County Legislature recently recognized Donald Ross for his dedication and commitment to the Oswego County Environmental Management Council. The Fulton resident was appointed to the council in 1983 and actively served for 31 years, helping conserve the environment for the health and well-being of county residents.
The 34th annual Memorial Day Salute Committee recently announced the winners of the poster contest held to create a patriotic poster in keeping with “Remember Those Who Served.” Taking first place as the winner of this year’s poster contest is Nicole Green with second place going to Stephanie Taplan.
