SUNY Oswego Students Experience Joys, Intensity Of Physical Theater In Moscow

For 14 SUNY Oswego students, winter break brought a crash course in physical theater and Russian culture during an inspiring — and intense — three-week trip to Moscow. Henry Shikongo and Jonel Langenfeld of the college’s theater faculty led the group on the visit to the Moscow Art Theatre, home to rigorous training in acrobatics, fencing, unarmed combat, stage movement, voice, improvisation and more.

Oswego Health Accepts Medical ‘Sharps’ For Disposal at Several Locations

Sharps can be brought to the Oswego Hospital Health Services Center Suite G50 and to the reception desk of The Manor at Seneca Hill, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding holidays.
The used needles and syringes can also be brought to Oswego Health’s urgent care centers in Central Square and Fulton during the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The Oswego City School District is gearing up to welcome next year’s class of Pre-Kindergarten students, and applications for the Oswego City School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten program are now available. This program is designed for children who were born between December 2, 2010, and December 1, 2011, and is offered at no cost to children who are selected by lottery.

CTE Students Earn Top Honors

More than 100 CiTi students were recently recognized for achieving academic success during the first half of the school year. The top three students enrolled in each Career and Technical Education (CTE) course were rewarded for their hard work and dedication with a luncheon at CiTi’s Mexico campus, where they were greeted by CTE Principal Marla Berlin and counselors Dave Eastman and Scott Henry.
