Each month, the Fulton Rotary Club invites two seniors from Fulton High School to share lunch and ideas. This month, Geoffry Michaels and Alexia Abelgore were introduced by Judy Young, youth chair for the club.

A brainstorming session led by Brad DePoint’s Lanigan Elementary School students recently transformed into a class video project, complete with an interview with the Fulton mayor. The massive undertaking began with students learning about local current events and developing questions about significant issues that impact the Fulton community.

At a recent Fulton Rotary Club meeting, Ali McGrath, the resources development director from the Greater Oswego County United Way, spoke about her goals for the United Way. She hopes to increase the United Way’s presence in all of Oswego County.

Oswego County Head Start invites the public to its open house for the families of new and prospective 3- and 4-year-old Pre-K students on March 25 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Meet the highly qualified, caring teachers, tour the classrooms and learn about all that Head Start has to offer.

When students at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School begin developing their schedules for next year, they will have a chance to extend their education to the post-secondary level with a number of college credit-bearing courses.

At G. Ray Bodley High School, students have a plethora of courses to explore as they prepare for their future. In the coming months, guidance counselors and teachers will work with students to develop schedules for the 2015-2016 school year.

To shine a light on the Common Core and the math curriculum, the Fulton City School District recently held two informational programs for parents looking to learn more about the subject. An afternoon “lunch and learn” meeting and another session in the evening provided parents with a plethora of information on mathematics and how it is being taught in Fulton classrooms.

The Oswego County Health Department is offering influenza immunization clinics for people age 19 and older at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic, 70 Bunner St., Oswego.
