The G. Ray Bodley High School class of 1984 has its class reunion planned for July 18 and 19. But, we are still missing many of our classmates email addresses or street addresses.

Volney Students Recognized for Effort

Volney Elementary School students attended a special assembly to recognize positive behavior and for being role models. Principal Lisa Garofalo gave certificates to one student from each classroom that exemplified the May character trait, effort.

Birdlebough High School Names Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Phoenix Central School District seniors Ian Evans and Meghan Lentz have been named the top two of the John C. Birdlebough High School Class of 2014. Earning an overall grade point average of 101.58, Evans will graduate as the JCB class valedictorian. Finishing her four years at JCB with an overall grade point average of 100.82, Lentz will graduate as the JCB class salutatorian.

First Graders Host Reader’s Theater at Volney Elementary

The students presented “Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type” by Doreen Cronin. The book tells the story of Farmer Brown’s cows, who find an old typewriter in the barn and proceed to write letters to the farmer, listing demands.

Effort Breakfast Honors Granby Students

Students at Granby Elementary School, selected at best representing that character trait, were treated to a special breakfast with Principal Heather Perry. Students arrived one-by one to the library with their invitations in hand, to enjoy a buffet of breakfast treats including fruit cocktail, cereal, breakfast pizza and an assortment of juices.

I can barely see into his back yard, but as far as I can tell the dog spends most of its time out there and there is never any food or water for it. Salvation Army Offers Free Overnight Camp To County Children

The Salvation Army Oswego County Unit is offering to children who live in Oswego County an opportunity to spend a few days at Long Point Camp on Seneca Lake. Long Point Camp exists to be a place where youth may capture the joy of living-loving-and learning more about God, themselves and others.

Flag Day School Event At Fort Ontario Set June 13

In commemoration of Flag Day, the many flags that have flown over Fort Ontario and the United States will be displayed and explained by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Oswego Lodge 271, on June 13 at Fort Ontario. Nearly 500 school children from around central New York State will participate in the program at the old fort.
