Sandy Creek High School students took their knowledge from the classroom to the courtroom, where they earned first place in the local mock trial competition on April 8. The program is a statewide initiative in its 33rd year and provides students in ninth through 12th grades with an opportunity to learn about the judicial system via hands-on experience.
The Oswego Festival Chorus, conducted by SUNY Oswego assistant professor Dr. Mihoko Tsutsumi, will present its spring concert on April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 103 W. Seventh St. Admission is by donation.
At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Donna Kestner introduced Brian Chetney, director of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. He presented a very busy schedule of just what Youth Bureau does.

I took in a stray cat last winter. He had been hanging around my back porch looking pathetic and it got to one of those 10 below nights. The next thing I knew he was in my bed with me. He was thin but seemed to be in pretty good shape and had been neutered. So, now that I have gotten very fond of Mr. Slim, I found out that he is FIV positive!
The halls of Riley Elementary have been turned into a huge gallery showcasing the beautiful artwork of students in grades K through sixth. Youth Art Month is an annual observance in March to emphasize the value of art and art education for all children and to encourage public support for quality school art programs.
