For the month of April, Recognizing Oswego County is seeking nominations in the area of Mental Health Awareness and Support. A potential nominee might be an agency that provides mental health counseling or an individual who advocates to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
Kingsford Park Elementary School kindergarten students and the Oswego City Police Department representatives recently gathered in the school parking lot. Sgt. Jim Cunningham and K-9 Officer Jim Ladue along with service dog “Crixus” visited the west side school.

The Oswego County Farm Bureau will host the last Coffeecake Meeting of the winter season on April 7 at 1 p.m. This has been an exciting inaugural season of public meetings featuring local authors, agencies and energy generation. The season will close with a presentation by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County.
Dr. Sherri Mason, professor of chemistry and environmental sciences program coordinator for State University of New York at Fredonia, will be on the Oswego campus March 31 to present her research on contamination of the Great Lakes.
